I should really post here more often! In case you don’t follow me via Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/pixiegiftfashions/), I recently participated in a small fashion show at my alma mater for their Japanese Culture Festival (Japan Day).
I showed new and old looks, and had the opportunity to begin trying out fashion photography with actual models (rather than trying to shoot myself with a tripod and with the camera on its timer)! Also, I am still learning Photoshop and tried my hand at editing the photos. Come take a look below!
It was a small show, with three designers who showcased=– including me. Not that that is a bad thing– I actually had a great first fashion show for 2016! My models were amazing and Shelby Rose (https://shelbyrosestylist.wordpress.com/about/) once again did amazing work with the hair! Federico Beauty Institute (http://federico.edu/) stepped up to the plate and did the rainbow-inspired makeup :].
The PGF team did a fantastic job showing the Gyaru/Gyaru-Hime looks that I was able to put together for the event!
The one time I finally get to shoot and I can’t even do it outside because of the rain…
But I love the rain! So I can’t be too disappointed about the weather! And I really liked how these shots came out despite being stuck indoors with a regular house lamp, a window curtain and my camera self-timer and tripod.
I made this dress about two years ago for my first fashion show ever– it has a twin sister dress! The sweater is the Paris Cafe Cardigan in Bordeaux from my favorite affiliate (the link to the cardigan is an affiliate link; just FYI) while the cap with kitty ears is from a vendor from Amazon. This look is very warm and cute– I’ll have to wear it to my new job sometime! If you all like this style of dress, let me know; I can make some for the shop for all of you!
I am back and ready to roll after such an amazing wedding and honeymoon in Hawaii! To start off February, I am going to post about the amazing fashion-related vendors that worked with us for our wedding. The complete list of vendors can be found on our wedding blog, here (most are Sacramento-area specific): [http://seanandginaiwata.blogspot.com/p/thank-you_22.html].

If you are reading this, I am probably chained down to my bride responsibilities since I am married woman at the end of this week!
For those looking for wedding budget help, I’ve previously blogged about that here. What this post is about is my checklist of what vendors, items, expenses, etc. that goes into a wedding. If you are trying to plan a wedding, I will do my best to give you a complete list of things you may want for your Big Day!
I will be making a post about my experience doing SACFW2015 in the near future, but for now I want to share with you photos from the show! I’ve given photo-hunting a month after the showcase and have done my best to collect anything that was related to my collection! Next time I do a show, I’ll have a nice camera to take pics myself insted of having to look for the photos in this large sea of information know as The Internet.
You can see my designs on Pinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/pixiegiftfshns/sac-fashion-week-2015-photos/

As a small business and with working with countless small businesses in midtown Sacramento in the past, I know how important today is. I urge all of you itching to get some shopping done (holiday or personal shopping) and those looking for great deals to participate in Small Business Saturday today. Go out on the town or shop from the comfort of your home–we all would really appreciate your support. For those who cannot participate today, I urge you to pass the word that today is a day to shop small.
Thank you ❤
PS: I haven’t been actively blogging, but I (hopefully) have some news to share soon. I never want to share anything unless I absolutely know that what I’m going to say is absolute truth. Stay tuned…
